A two-player trick-taking game where winning too many tricks is penalized — score like a fox, not a pig. Fairy tale character cards have special powers that bend the trick-taking rules. The scoring threshold system makes every trick won a genuine strategic choice.

The Fox in the Forest is a two-player trick-taking card game with a fairy-tale theme. The deck has three suits numbered 1 to 11, and the odd-numbered cards have special abilities.
Each round, you win points for the number of tricks you take, but winning too many is bad: taking a modest number scores best, as does taking almost everything, while ending up in between scores poorly. It's quick and a great game for couples.
