Why you'll like it

How it plays

Hive is a two-player abstract game with no board. Each player has a set of bug tiles, and the tiles themselves form the playing area. Each bug moves differently, a bit like chess pieces: beetles climb on top, grasshoppers jump, ants move far.

Your goal is to completely surround your opponent's queen bee. The tiles are chunky and durable, so it's great for travel. It's a deep strategy game that's easy to learn.
