In The Quacks of Quedlinburg, each player is a traveling potion maker. Everyone has a bag of ingredient chips, and every round you all draw chips at the same time and add them to your cauldron, moving further along a spiral track.
The danger is the white cherry bombs. If the total of white chips in your pot goes over 7, your potion explodes and you have to choose between points and buying new ingredients that round. You can stop drawing at any time to stay safe. After each round, you use your money to buy new chips with special abilities, which makes your bag stronger.
The game lasts nine rounds. It's a push-your-luck game with a light bag-building engine, and it's full of tense, funny moments as everyone draws at once.
