Why you'll like it

How it plays

Kingdomino is a quick tile-laying game. Each tile is like a domino with two squares of terrain: wheat fields, forests, lakes, grasslands, swamps and mines. Each round, players pick tiles from a shared row and add them to their kingdom, connecting at least one side to a matching terrain.

The order you pick in matters: choosing a great tile this round means you pick later in the next round. Your kingdom must fit in a 5x5 grid, so careless placements can leave you stuck.

At the end, each connected area of terrain scores its size multiplied by the number of crowns in it. The game takes about 20 minutes and is a favorite for families.
