Blood on the Clocktower

Steven Medway · The Pandemonium Institute · 2022

A social deduction game for 5-20 players where a live Storyteller runs the game, adapting roles and misinformation dynamically. Dead players keep playing through ghost votes, ensuring no one sits out. The Storyteller role transforms social deduction from a game into a living narrative.

Why you'll like it

How it plays

Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game for big groups, related to Werewolf and Mafia. One person is the Storyteller, who runs the game and secretly tells each player their role in a village where a demon is hiding among them.

Almost every role has a special ability, so good players gather information each night and argue about it during the day, while evil players bluff and spread doubt. Unlike Werewolf, players who die keep talking and helping their team, so nobody sits out. Good wins by executing the demon; evil wins by surviving until only a few players remain.
